Felicia Fisher's Park Avenue to Pennsylvania
Pie Baking Story...
Felicia Fisher is the owner and operator of the Black Buggy Baking Company which she founded as a part-time venture in 2006 with the encouragement of her husband Kirk, an 8th generation farmer (and thoroughly willing taste-tester). In addition to being a part-time baker and full-time mother to three young children, Felicia worked as a commercial litigator for a Manhattan law firm until 2008 when she left the practice of law (and a 3 hour commute from PA to NYC each way!) to pursue her love of baking as a full-time enterprise. While Felicia is a native to New York she now makes her home in Oley, Pennsylvania where she's busy baking a variety of items including a renowned Wet Bottom Shoo Fly Pie and recently introduced Chocolate Wet Bottom Shoo Fly Pie (in keeping with the theory that adding chocolate to anything makes it better). Felicia also bakes up fresh fruit, pecan and pumpkin pies depending on seasonal avialbility and daily inspiration and has gained attention for her "gynormous" (think hockey puck size) freshly baked cookies in a variety of interesting flavors including Caramel Sea Salt, Caramel Latte, ChocoLatte Chip, Margarita, Lemon Rosemary, Bavarian Brownie and Ginger Spice (as well as classics such as Vanilla Sugar, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin). Banana, Pumpkin and Zucchini breads are available on a rotating basis.
